This bit was designed for competition. The 3 Piece Dog Bone mouthpiece has more direct contact in the corners of a horse's mouth giving you a quicker response. The long shank offers plenty of whoa while maintaining the flexion and bend required. The Extended Gag Feature offers bend and flexion of the poll. If you ride with a combination bit, this is a good alternative to practice in. By doing this, it helps maintain the effectiveness of your combination bit. This bit comes with a chain curb but can be used with a nylon string curb as an option. With a string curb you will have more bend but less whoa.
